Where Are the Utility Connections on a Park Model Tiny Home?
Before your park model tiny home arrives, your electrician, plumber, and propane company will all ask where the connections come out. Pick your model below for a marked floor plan, the distance to each hookup, and a printable sheet you can hand straight to them.
The short answer
On the back wall
Maple, Willow, Hemlock, and Alder. Water, sewer, gas, and power come out under the back wall near the bedroom end. Standing outside facing that wall, the bedroom end is on your right. On the Alder, gas comes in under the bedroom end.
Under the floor
Ponderosa, Lofted Ponderosa, Magnolia, and Aspen Bunkhouse. The connections come straight down through the floor instead of out one wall. On the Ponderosa, the drain and gas come down at the bathroom end, and the water and power come down near the middle of the home.
The water heater is reached from outside
On the Maple, Willow, Hemlock, and Alder, you get to the water heater through an access door on the outside of the home. The Maple and Hemlock doors are on the hookup wall, a few feet past the other connections. The Willow and Alder doors are on the opposite long wall.
Keep these doors clear of skirting, steps, decks, and landscaping so you and our crew can reach the water heater later.
What you'll find at the hookups
- Power. 50 amp RV-style on most homes. Homes with 100 amp service are wired to the panel by your electrician.
- Water. A 3/4 inch drinking-water hose connection, with a heat tape outlet nearby.
- Sewer. A 3 inch direct drain with no holding tank, straight to sewer or septic.
- Gas. The connection for propane appliances like the range.

Who connects what
Licensed pros bring power, water, sewer or septic, and propane to your site before the home arrives. The water hookup at the home is a standard RV connection, so many owners connect it themselves, and our crew is glad to attach it and check every fitting.
Gas is always a licensed propane pro's job. They set the tank and the regulator and test the system before the gas is turned on, so please keep the gas off until they are done.
Distances are approximate, measured from the outside of the end wall named in each section. Options and mirrored floor plans can move a connection, so confirm with your home's final factory print before site work. Own an Aspen Bunkhouse or Magnolia? Your rep can send your home's factory print.
